The Interim Government has taken an initiative to prepare the proclamation of the July Uprising based on national consensus. The proclamation will be adopted to consolidate the unity of the people, anti-fascist consciousness and desire for state reform that was developed through the July Uprising.
This information was shared by the Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam at a press conference in front of the State Guest House Jamuna on Monday evening.
The Press Secretary said the proclamation will be prepared based on the opinions of all the participating students, political parties and factions, including the anti-discrimination student movement that led the Mass Uprising. It will express the perspective of the July Uprising, the basis of unity and the intention of the people.
He said, “We hope that this proclamation will be prepared unanimously within a few days through the participation of everyone and will be presented to the nation.”
