A court here today imposed travel ban on former state minister for foreign affairs Md Shahriar Alam, his wife Silvia Pervin and two sons Sadman Shahriar and Ahnaf Shahriar over graft allegations, reports BSS.
Acting Judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court Md Ibrahim Miah passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).
Investigation Officer (IO) and ACC Deputy Director Md Salauddin filed the plea while public prosecutor Mir Ahmed Ali Salam moved the petition before the court.
Shahriar and his family members are accused amassing illegal wealth of crores through corruption and misusing power. The ACC learned the accused are trying to flee the country to evade justice and filed the plea to impose travel ban on them.
