Home adviser Lt Gen (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said a letter has been sent to the Foreign Ministry to bring Sheikh Hasina back to the country.
The adviser Monday shared the development with media at an event marking Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) day at Pilkhana in the capital.
He said: “A letter has been sent to the Foreign Ministry to take necessary initiatives to communicate with India to bring Sheikh Hasina back. She can be brought back as per the prisoner extradition treaty.”
He also shared the development of commission formation on BDR mutiny, he said: “An inquiry commission has been formed to investigate the BDR mutiny in 2009.”
At that time, the adviser said: “Those who are harassing freedom fighters must be brought to justice.”
