Islami Andolon Bangladesh Ameer Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim on Sunday said the rulers of the country couldn’t able to give anything in last 53 years except oppression and deprivation and in the regime of ousted PM Sheikh Hasina, the country had become a tax jurisdiction of India.
“However, due to the supreme sacrifice of students and mass people, the country has achieved a new independence and they won’t tolerate the repetition of fascism anyome,” he said.
He said this while addressing the Freedom Fighters Generation Conference as the chief guest held at the IAB Auditorium in Purana Paltan in the capital organized by Islami Muktijoddha Parishad Bangladesh.
Rezaul Karim said, “Doubts have arisen in the public mind about the future of national elections. For this reason, after announcing the election roadmap, the reform works should be carried out quickly. The previous Sheikh Hasina's government gave thousands of fake freedom fighter certificates of participating in the liberation war. The charter of these fake freedom fighters should be cancelled. Also the unrecognized freedom fighters should be recognized. Those freedom fighters who drive rickshaws and sell tea under persecution should be found out and recognized with honor.”
