BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has opposed the removal of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s photo from Bangabhaban’s Darbar Hall.
He made this remark at a press conference on Tuesday morning.
He said, “Earlier, Khandaker Mushtaq Ahmed removed Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s photo from Bangabhaban. But Ziaur Rahman replaced it.”
He said, “We have to recognise them who contributed to the nation. History and the people of the country will decide on allegations of crimes against them. BNP is not a narrow-minded party like Awami League. Taking down Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's photo from Bangabhaban was not the right decision.”
Regarding the health sector, Rizvi said many doctors did not get promotions during the periods of ousted government due to political bias.
On Monday, Adviser Mahfuj Alam informed that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s photo was removed from Bangabhaban’s Darbar Hall.
