Former state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after falling ill during remand.
He was taken to DMCH around 9:30 PM on Saturday, November 9. Inspector Md. Faruk, in charge of the police camp at DMCH, confirmed the matter, stating that Zunaid Ahmed Palak was brought to the hospital as he was feeling sick.
Palak was on remand in a murder case under the Jatrabari Police Station. He is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital's Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
On August 14, Palak was arrested while hiding in the Nikunja Residential Area. The next day, he was granted a 10-day remand by the court in a murder case involving a rickshaw puller named Kamal Mia in Paltan, Dhaka. Subsequently, he was shown arrested in other cases and was taken into remand again.
