Russia announces 124 scholarships for Bangladeshi students

The Russian government has opened the door to higher education for Bangladeshi students.

For the academic year 2025-2026, Russia offers 124 scholarships to Bangladeshi students for Bachelor's, Specialty Degrees, Master's, Residency Training, and Ph.D. programs. This initiative aims to improve educational standards and familiarize Bangladeshi students with Russian education and culture, according to a media release.

Application process and required documents

Applications for these scholarships must be submitted online. Applicants can quickly fill out the application form by visiting https://education-in-russia.com. The deadline for submitting applications is January 15, 2025. However, there are some essential requirements to fulfil before applying. First, all original and photocopied academic certificates and transcripts must be attested by Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, the applicant's passport must be valid from September 2025 for at least 18 months.

Once the online application is completed, students must submit the attested copies of their academic certificates, a photocopy of their passport, a health certificate, a consent form for personal data processing, and one passport-size colour photograph to the Russian House in Dhaka.

Direct information access

Students can visit the Education Department of the Russian House in Dhaka from Sunday to Thursday between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm to get more details on the application process.

Additionally, there will be a "Higher Education in Russia" seminar at the Russian House in Dhaka on November 11, 2024,  where students can learn more about available opportunities and application procedures.

The importance and future potential of higher education in Russia

Higher education in Russia offers more than just academic advancement; it provides students with international experience, exposure to diverse cultures, and advanced research opportunities. Russian universities excel in science, technology, medicine, and the humanities, making them a valuable knowledge resource for Bangladeshi students.

Beyond academics, studying in Russia enables students to experience the Russian lifestyle and culture and connect socially and intellectually with various international communities. Therefore, this Russian government scholarship is an educational opportunity for Bangladeshi students and an exceptional chance to enrich their lives and careers.

Contact information

For assistance, students may contact Syed Bazlul Hasan Rajib, Head of the Education Department at the Russian House in Dhaka. He is available to provide all necessary information regarding the scholarship.

Address: 42, Bhasha Sainik MA Matin Road (Road 7), Dhanmondi R/A, Dhaka-1205, Phone: 01817294595

Becoming familiar with Russian education and culture and establishing oneself as an international professional is a remarkable opportunity for Bangladeshi students through this scholarship program.
