In a case filed at the tribunal regarding the July-August genocide allegations, arrest warrants have been issued against 17 former police officials, including former Police Chief Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun.
On Sunday, a bench of three judges led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mazumdar, Chairman of the International Crimes Tribunal, issued this order.
Chief Prosecutor Md. Tajul Islam filed a request for their appearance before the tribunal.
In connection with the anti-discrimination student movement, 14 individuals, including 10 former ministers, have been arrested concerning the July-August genocide.
They must be presented before the tribunal on November 18, as ordered by the tribunal led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mazumdar.
Earlier, on October 17, the International Crimes Tribunal issued arrest warrants against 46 individuals, including Sheikh Hasina and Obaidul Quader, in separate cases related to allegations of genocide and crimes against humanity that occurred during July and August.
