Former Education Minister Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Hoque Milan said, "The way the Constitution of Bangladesh has been tampered with, it has now become a piece of refuse."
He made this remark during a roundtable discussion at the National Press Club on Saturday afternoon.
The focal topic of the discussion was "New Political Arrangements and the Blueprint for Nation-Building."
At the event, the speakers also noted that the Awami League continues to work towards turning the state into a dysfunctional entity. They urged the current government to take this into consideration while fulfilling its responsibilities.
They further asserted that if this government fails, the country will lose its way.
The keynote speaker at the discussion was former Justice Mohammad Abdur Rouf.
During the discussion, the Centre for Civilisational Dialogue urged for the elimination of increasing income and opportunity disparities within the state. The organization also advocated for fundamental reforms throughout the financial sector.
