July Martyrs Memorial Foundation General Secretary, Sarjis Alam, stated, “There will be no political party under the banner of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, and this is absolutely certain. However, if individuals associated with this movement wish to engage in politics or form a political party under a different name or banner, they have the democratic right to do so.”
He added that the question of whether they will proceed under a political banner remains under discussion.
Meanwhile, since the August Revolution, conspiracies in the country have been steadily increasing.
Sarjis Alam made these remarks during an exchange meeting with protesting students and families of the deceased at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Madaripur Municipality conference room.
He remarked, “We cannot afford to be divided at this moment. Division will weaken us, and the fascists will regain their hold. Although Sheikh Hasina escaped, she did not take all her supporters with her; some managed to flee. If we do not stay vigilant, they may attempt to return.”
During the meeting, Sarjis Alam provided guidance to the students involved in the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
The event was attended by central leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, students from Madaripur involved in the movement, and other general students.
