Zainul Abedin Farroque, a member of the BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council has said that there is a conspiracy going on against the government in order to hinder the reformation process. He has also warned the chief adviser Dr Younus and urged him to remain vigilant.
He made these remarks on Friday (October 25) while participating in a program in front of the National Press Club, demanding the withdrawal of all false cases against BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
Zainul Abedin also said, “BNP has welcomed the interim government’s decision to ban Chattra League. The backbone of the Awami League must be broken through legal means so that they can never become a threat again.”
The renowned BNP leader also urged the government to start the election process soon.
“After heeding advice from all the political parties, the Election Commission must be reformed,” said he.
Faruk reiterated the demand to withdraw all cases against Tarique Rahman and called for a swift start to the trial for the July-August massacre.
He accused Awami League of being involved in the rising commodity prices, saying, "People can’t bear it any longer. The market syndicates must be dismantled as soon as possible."
