Even though the government came to power through a revolution, it has failed to take on a revolutionary form.
Editor of the daily Amar Desh, Mahmudur Rahman made this comment on Tuesday at a press conference organized by the National Press Club.
He also feels that Fascists are still conspiring against the nation. As the interim government failed to become a revolutionary government, the country is yet to get rid of the Fascists.
The press conference was organized by the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists and the Dhaka Union of Journalists, calling for the repeal of laws against media freedom, and the establishment of a fascism-free media.
Also speaking at the conference was Kader Gani Chowdhury, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists. He stated that the media must be freed from fascist influences. Giving a voice to fascism means betraying the blood of countless martyrs. He demanded that all cases against journalists, targeted by the Awami fascist government, must be dropped immediately.
