The Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of the police has surrounded a four-story building in the Borpa area of Narayanganj's Rupganj, suspecting it to be a militant hideout. The operation began around 10:30 am on Tuesday, targeting the building based on intelligence received, reports Kaler Kantho.
ATU Superintendent of Police (Media and Awareness) Mahfuzul Alam Russell confirmed the situation, stating that the special unit, formed to combat extremism and terrorism, has surrounded the house and is preparing to conduct a raid. More details will be provided following the operation.
