Awami League leader Kazi Kamal Ahmed Babu alias Gas Babu has become the fourth criminal to confess his involvement in the abduction and consequently murder of late Jhenidah-4 lawmaker Anwarul Azim Anar, reports Daily Sun.
Babu is the relief and social welfare affairs secretary of Jhenaidah AL as well as the cousin of Aktaruzzaman Shahin, one of the masterminds behind the grisly murder.

Accepting the application, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jashim recorded the confession and later sent Babu to jail.
On 9 June, the court had put Babu on 7-day remand.
Earlier, three accused in the case confessed their crimes and are now staying in jail. The accused are: manullah alias Shimul Bhuiyan, Tanvir Bhuiyan and Celesty Rahman.
