3 of a family killed in Sylhet landslide

Three people of a family, including a child, have been killed as a mound collapsed over the house number 89 in road number 2 of Chamelibagh residential area in Sylhet around 7 am on Monday.

Four people were rescued as injured and admitted to MAG Osmani Medical Hospital.

The three killed persons are: Agha Karim Uddin, 31, his wife Mst. Shammi Akhtar Rozy, 27 and their 2-year-old daughter Taniz.

Fire service, along with several teams of Sylhet City Corporation and locals are working to rescue the missing.

Meanwhile, Sylhet City Mayor Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury visited the spot.
