Several human bones of various shapes were found in the Bagjola Canal in Satulia area of Bhandar under Dakkhin 24 Parganas district in West Bengal of India.
Arrested Siam claims, this bone belongs to Jhenaidah-4 Constituency MP Anwarul Azim Anar. However, CID is not sure about that.
CID’s Special Investigation Officers conducted a search in the canal and its adjacent area on Sunday with Siam Hossain, one of the key suspects in MP Anar's murder case.
On this day, CID investigators along with Calcutta Police Disaster Response Team (DMG) and Indian Navy came to Krishnamati Bagjola Canal area under Vijaygarh Bazar Police Station. After identifying the area, divers were sent deep into the water and the bones were recovered. Officials of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) have already reached the spot after being informed of the matter.
It has been confirmed by the CID that several bones of different sizes have been recovered during the operation in the Bagjola canal which are believed to be human bones.
It is known that Siam talked about a different place from the place that Jihad had mentioned earlier. Search was also conducted at that place. Arrested Siam claims, these are the bones of Bangladesh MP Anar's body.
The accused Siam has been charged under four non-bailable sections – 364 (kidnapping with intent to murder), 302 (culpable homicide), 201 (tampering the evidence) and 34 (committing criminal activity by association) – of the Indian Penal Code.
