Police have cordoned off a house they had suspected to be a militant hideout in Netrakona district.
On Saturday (June 8) afternoon, speculation began about the deserted house in the Bhasapara area of Kailati union of Sadar upazila.
According to the police, the house belongs to one named Abdul Mannan. The militants were operating from rented houses in a secluded area of the village.
A foreign-made pistol, 17 rounds of ammunition and other incriminating materials were recovered from the suspected site, police said.
Taking everything into account, the bomb disposal unit has been called on. The house will be cordoned off until they arrive. Security has been strengthen in the area.
Besides, the owner of the house has been asked to come from Dhaka.
