The ongoing severe heat wave is likely to continue in four districts and mild to moderate heat wave in parts of the country, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours commencing 9am on Wednesday, reports BSS.
“Severe heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Jashore and Sayedpur and mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions, the rest parts of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions and the districts of Cumilla, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni and Bandarban and it may continue,” the release said.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram division and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions.
Day temperature may over Chattogram division and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country and the night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 40.5 degree Celsius at Dinajpur and Sayedpur and minimum temperature was recorded 23.3 degree Celsius at Bandarban.
