Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal placed Tk 761,785 crore budget for the next fiscal year (FY-2023-24) on Thursday at the Parliament.
The budget session started at 3:00 pm with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
Some products will be costlier as the government has increased and imposed VAT and tax in the budget.
These products are luxurious cars, construction materials, land and flat registration, cigarette, cashew nuts, gold, date, cement, rod, iron rod, LGP cylinder, travel costs, plastic products, freezers, fans, escalators, tableware, kitchenware, tissue, napkin, cold drinks, kitchen oven, pen and sun-glass.
