Bangladesh Railway will start the advance sale of train tickets marking the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha on June 14.
Like previous Eid-ul-Fitr, cent per cent of tickets will be sold online.
Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan said this at a press briefing held at the Rail Bhaban on Tuesday.
The train tickets for June 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28 will be available on June 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 respectively.
Similarly, the advance sale of return tickets for the Eid journey will start on June 22.
The Railways Minister said standing tickets will be issued at four counters. But the standing ticket is non-refundable.
He also said the weekly holiday of all intercity trains will be cancelled from June 24 to one day before Eid.
Besides, Bangladesh Railway has decided to run eight pairs of special trains on the occasion of Eid.
