Some 70 Bangladeshi citizens reached the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) by special flights of Royal Saudi Air Force from war-torn Sudan.
Bangladesh Ambassador to KSA Dr Mohammad Jabed Patwary, BPM (Bar) welcomed them.
At this time, Consul General Mohammad Nazmul Huq of Bangladesh Consulate in Jeddah was also present.
Mohammed Fokhrul Islam, First Secretary (Press) of Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh, KSA, confirms it in a press release on Sunday.
The Bangladeshis reached the KSA from Sudan by two flights.
It is also learnt that carrying some 65 Bangladeshi people another flight will go to the KSA.
Some 1,500 Bangladeshi nationals live in Sudan. Of them, who have completed registration for returning home (Bangladesh) will be brought in phases.
Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh and Bangladesh Consulate in Jeddah have taken all necessary preparations to this end, reports Daily Sun.
