Bashundhara Group is spreading the light of education even in remote areas. Under the initiative of the Bashundhara Group, Kaler Kantho Shuvosangho has started the seventh school.
The journey of this school started with 42 children students at Jairam Chalisha Char of Gangachara Upazila of Rangpur on Monday afternoon. A teacher has been appointed to the school during the journey.
Imdadul Haq Milan, Director of East West Media Group Limited, Ekushey Medalist fiction writer, Editor-in-Chief of Kaler Kantho, laid the foundation stone of the school as the chief guest.
Director of Shuvo Sangha Zakaria Zaman, Gangachra Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nayan Kumar Saha, Laxmitari Union Chairman Abdullah Al Hadi, Gangachra Model Police Station OC (Investigation) Momtazul Islam, City Press Club President Swapan Chowdhury were present.
At that time, the parents said that they are not able to educate their children due to scarcity and flood. They thanked Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan for establishing Bashundhara Group School.
Imdadul Haq Milan said, “So far schools have been established in 7 areas including Rangpur. Bashundhara Group will provide free education to all students of Shuvosangho schools. Bashundhara Group will establish such schools across the country to enlighten the children of needy people in remote areas with the light of education. Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan's sincerity is making this kind of philanthropic work possible.”
At this time he took all the responsibility of a student's education.
