Eight persons, including three of a family, wounded in a fire from a gas pipeline explosion in Dhupkhola area of the capital while a repair work was goin on in Monday morning, reports BSS.
The injured were rushed to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) and Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
The injured are Abdur Rahim, 50, his daughter Mim Akter, 21, and grandson Alif, 2, and Sohel, 48, Mehedi Hasan, 23, Ali Hossain, 30, Rashed Mia, Sahera Begum, 65 and Mizanur Rahman, 32.
DMCH Police Camp in-charge Md Bachchu Miah said the fire originated from gas pipeline leakage on Dhupkhola Bazar road around 9.30 am while repair work was underway.
