Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak visited the factory of the leading Agricultural Machinery Manufacturing Company Yanmar in Japan and exchanged views with the higher officials of the company.
The agriculture minister reached at Yanmar factory in the Enami of Okayama from Tokyo on Friday morning.
He visited the manufacture of various agricultural machinery including combine harvesters, tractors, and transplants.
Besides, Dr Abdur Razzak visited the bio laboratory of specialized Mango, Papaya and Strawberry under the greenhouse.
Calling upon Yanmar to manufacture agricultural machinery in Bangladesh, Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak said Bangladesh is heading towards agricultural mechanization.
Yanmar can make a good profit in Bangladesh by manufacturing agricultural machinery, he added.
Yanmar President Masada San said that the feasibility study of setting up a factory in Bangladesh is underway. From next year, with the help of ACI, the production of a combine harvester and rice transplanter will be started in Bangladesh.
