AL candidate Noman wins in Ctg-8 by-polls

Awami League (AL) nominated candidate Noman Al Mahmud came out as victorious in the by-election of Chattogram-8 constituency held on Thursday, according to the media report. 

He bagged 67,205 votes in the Chattogram-8 constituency, where he had won in a private election in the past. 

His closest candidate, S.U.M Abdus Samad (Candle) of the Bangladesh Islami Front, secured only 5,087 votes. 

Returning Officer and Chattogram Regional Election Officer Muhammad Hasanuzzaman announced the results at about 8:30 PM.
