Mild heat wave is sweeping over many places of the country and it may continue and spread, said a weather forecast issued by the Bangladesh Metrology Department (BMD) on Wednesday, reports BSS.
"Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Chattogram, Rangamati, Feni, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban and Patuakhali and it may continue and spread," said the bulletin valid for the next 24 hours commencing 9am from Wednesday.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, it added.
Day and night temperature may rise by (1-2) degrees Celsius over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 37.7 degrees Celsius at Bandarban while minimum temperature 19.2 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.
