Six farmers killed in lightning in Sunamganj

Six farmers were killed in lightning while harvesting paddy in haor areas of three upazilas under Sunamganj on Sunday, reports Daily Sun.

The incidents of lightning took place in the morning and afternoon today at Tahirpur upzila, Doara Bazar upazila and Chatak upazila of the district.

Citing police information, a media report revealed that harvesting of Boro paddy is going on in Sunamganj. Like other days, farmers went to the field for harvesting paddy today. It was raining since morning. But sudden lightning killed six farmers in the field.
