Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, reports UNB.
“On behalf of the people of India, I convey my Eid greetings to you and the people of Bangladesh,” he wrote in a letter sent to Hasina, said Prime Minister's Office on Friday.
Modi mentioned that during the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims from all over the world including India performed fasting and prayers.
On this auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, he said, the people of the world along with the Muslim Ummah have realised the values of unity and brotherhood.
Modi said that as a result of Hasina’s personal initiative, the multilateral partnership between the two countries has become a role model for neighbourly relations in the world.
The Indian PM said he wants to take the relationship of the two countries to a new height through working with Sheikh Hasina continuously.
Modi wished peace, harmony, good health and happiness for the people of the two countries along with the people of the world.
