Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) started its sales programme across the country on Monday at a subsidised rate among the one crore family cardholders.
Prime Minister Office (PMO) Senior Secretary Tofazzel Hossain Miah inaugurated the programme in the capital’s Mohammadpur.
Commerce Ministry Senior Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, TCB Chairman Brigadier General Md Ariful Hasan, local councillors and people’s representatives were present at that time.
According to the TCB, sugar is being sold at Tk 55 per kg while lentils and onion are being sold at Tk 65 and Tk 20 per kg respectively.
Besides, soybean oil is being sold at Tk 110 per litre.
