Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler with two one shooter guns from sadar upazila of the district on Monday night, reports BSS.
The detainee was Md Sadequl Islam, 33, of Atahar Bulonpur village under sadar upazila of the district.
RAB said, acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid in Moharajpur Ghorastand area under Ranihati union of sadar upazila at around 11 pm and arrested Sadequl with the fire arms.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police with a case.
