CEC tests positive for Covid-19

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal has tested positive for Covid-19.

Kazi Habibul Awal himself informed the news other election commissioners on Thursday morning.

Election commissioner Md Ahsan Habib Khan will perform the job of routine work of the CEC in his absence.

Election Commission has published an order in this regard.

CEC Kazi Habibul Awal was not present at the election roadmap unveiling programme on Wednesday due to his illness.
