Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni didn’t visit the centers of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations started on Thursday 11 am across the country.
Each year she used to visit one center on the first day of SSC and equivalent exams. But, this year it didn’t happened.
Public relations officer of Education Ministry, Md Abul Khayer confirmed the matter to media on Thursday.
He said, Dr Dipu Moni has left the country to join general assembly of United Nations on 2 am Thursday. So, she was unable to visit the exam center.
This year each exams will be held from 11 am to 1 pm. MCQ based exams will be held for 20 minutes, while written exams last for 1 hr and 40 minutes. The examinees have to attend the centers 30 minutes before the starting time of the exams.
A total of 20 lakh 21 thousand and 868 students are sitting for SSC and equivalent examination this year.
