Death by Covid and Dengue are rising across the country, also the rate of infection of Covid and total number of dengue patients in the hospital on the rise.

According to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), two died on Tuesday due to dengue and 353 were admitted to the hospital which brings the total number of dengue patients in the hospital to 1,213. Among the new patients, 238 people are receiving treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka. 115 people under treatment outside Dhaka.

Earlier, four died on Monday while 345 were admitted to hospitals. Currently, a total of 1 thousand 213 people are admitted in various public and private hospitals of the country due to dengue. Among them, 895 people are receiving treatment in 47 government and private hospitals of Dhaka. 318 people are admitted in different hospitals outside Dhaka.

DGHS said a total of 9,448 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue from January 1 to September 13 this year. Among them, 8 thousand 196 people have recovered and been discharged from the hospital. The first death of the year due to dengue was reported on June 21.

On the other hand, one more died due to covid according to Tuesday’s statement from the DGHS. 435 people also detected as positive during the period. So far the total infection detection rate against total sample testing is 10.55 per cent, which was 9.23 percent the day before.  4, 111 samples were collected from different booths during the period.

With this, the presence of coronavirus has been detected in the bodies of 20, 15,743.

230 people have recovered from corona infection on Tuesday, which was 291 people the day before. The number of recoveries in 24 hours is less than before. With this number, 19, 59, 267 people have been freed from corona so far. The recovery rate is 97.20 per cent considering the detection of infection, which was 97.21 per cent the previous day.

In the last 24 hours of Tuesday, 881 laboratories tested coronavirus samples in the country out of which, 161 were RT-PCR labs, 57 were Gene Expert Lab and 663 Rapid Antigen Lab 663. A total of 14803537 samples have been tested in these labs. Out of this, 97 lakh 56 thousand 898 samples were tested in government management and 50 lakh 46 thousand 639 samples were tested in private management.
