Faridpur-2 constituency (Nagarkanda and Saltha) has been declared vacant following the demise of Deputy Leader of the Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury.
The Parliament Secretariat issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.
According to the notification, the constituency of Faridpur-2 fell vacant following the death of lawmaker Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury on September 11.
Awami League Presidium Member Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury passed away at a city hospital at the age of 87 on Sunday.
