The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to keep hoisted at local cautionary signal No.3, as the weather marked low over Northeast Bay.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to come closer to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
Fishermen have also been advised not to venture into the deep sea.
In the latest bulletin, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday said, the land depression over South Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas of India moved further west northwestwards, weakened into a well-marked low and lay centred over the central part of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas.
It is likely to weaken further, it added.
Under its influence, deep convection is taking place over the North Bay and its adjoining areas. Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, the North Bay and the adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.
