Pankaj Debnath removed from Awami League

Awami League lawmaker of Barisal-4 (Hijla-Mehendiganj) constituency Pankaj Debnath has been removed from all the posts of the party for violating disciplinary rules.

A letter in this regard signed by Awami League Office Secretary Biplab Barua has been sent to Barishal Awami League President Abul Hasnat Abdullah and General Secretary Talukder Mohammad Yunus on Monday.

The letter reads that the central Awami League has released Pankaj Debnath from the advisory council of the Awami League Barishal unit and all other posts of the party.

He is also requested to submit written explanation to the central Awami League office by next 15 days.

Lawmaker Pankaj Debnath confirmed the matter to the media. He, however, denied telling details.
