Three rescued after boat sank in Padma River

3 persons have been rescued in the boat sinking incident in Padman River on Sunday.

Members of Fire Service and BGB rescued them from the river-area near Talaimari of Rajshahi, while three others remain missing.

According to locals, another woman is also missing; however, her name or other information is not known.

The rescued persons were identified as Sentu Mia, 25, Abdus Salam, 30 and Anarul Islam, 48.

The missing persons are Sadek Ali, 55, Nazrul Islam, 50 and Golam Nabi, 60.

Golam Nabi hailed from Satbaria area under Matihar Thana in Rajshahi, while two others from Mizaner Mor area in the city.

BGB and Fire Service are continuing their search drives in search of the missing persons.
