A large number of people from Chattogram unit of Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) formed a human chain demanding the arrest of the killers of jeweller Biman Dhar, a member of the BAJUS.

They staged the demonstration in front of Chattogram Press Club at 11 am on Sunday.

According to earlier announcement, the gold traders of Chattogram closed the gold shop from morning and joined the human chain with the procession. Leaders of different districts and upazillas of Bajus joined with banners.

Mentionable, Biman Dhar, owner of ‘New Soudia Gold Fashion’ of the city’s Rahattarpol area, was slaughtered on his way to his village home at the Patiya upazila around 11:00pm on Tuesday.

BAJUS Chattogram district unit issued a 72-hour ultimatum to arrest the killers of its member Biman Dhar on Friday.
