Lightning kills 3 children of a family

Lightning strike killed three children and injured another while they were collecting water lily in a beel at Tongibari upazila in Munshiganj on Saturday, reports BSS.  

The deceased are Rabiul Hasan, 16, Lamim Hossain, 12 and Sanjida Akhter, 9, and they belong to the same family.

Around 2.30pm, four children went to collect water lilies in the beel in Dhamaron union. The children got injured by lightning strike. They were rushed to Munshiganj Sadar Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared three of the injured dead. Surviving child is receiving treatment there.

Dighirpar Police Outpost in-charge Md Shah Alam confirmed the matter.
