Chairman of the board of directors of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique on saturday said journalists must maintain objectivity despite having risky in their profession, especially while finding truth, reports BSS.
"Journalism is a most risky profession as the main job of journalists is to find truth by maintaining objectivity," said Prof Arefin, former vice-chancellor of Dhaka University (DU), while speaking at the inaugural function of a workshop of economic reporters.
Prof Arefin added that journalism is now one of the most risky and prestigious professions in the world as mass media focus all social issues and that journalist should highlight objective reports maintaining ethics and values.
Economic reporters of different print and electronic media took part in the daylong workshop.
