Former BCL president Ripon gets AL nomination in Gaibandha-5

Former Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) president Mahmud Hasan Ripon got the nomination of Awami League (AL) for the upcoming by-election in Gaibandha-5 constituency.

The decision was taken in the meeting of Parliamentary Board and Local Government Public Representative Nomination Board of AL held on Saturday evening.  

More than one members of the board confirmed the matter to The Bangladesh Pratidin.

Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting, in which maximum board members were present.

Nomination for the post of chairman in 61 districts will also get finalized in the meeting.
