Bangladesh on Friday declared three days of state mourning in memory of British Queen Elizabeth II.
As part of the three-day mourning programmes, from September 9 to 11, the national flag will be kept at half-mast at all government, semi-government and autonomous organisations, educational institutions, non-government buildings and Bangladesh missions abroad, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet division.
Special prayers for the departed soul will also be arranged, it said.
Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-reigning royal and among the world’s longest-ruling monarchs in history, has died at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, Buckingham Palace.
