Rain is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions in the next 24 hours, said the weather department on Wednesday.
According to the latest weather bulletin of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country.
The day temperature may rise slightly and the night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 34.9 degrees Celsius in Chandpur and the minimum temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius in Iswardi of Pabna.
The met office said the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours (Till 6 am Wednesday) was recorded at 44mm in Chuadanga
