One killed as train hits motorcycle in Tangail

A motorcyclist was killed and another injured after a train hit a motorcycle in  Saratoil area in  Kalihati upazila  of the  district in the early hours of today.

The deceased was identified as Shahin, son of Solaiman Miah, a resident of  Sirajkandi area of Bhuapur  upazila in the district.

According to railway police and local sources, the Tangail commuter train from Dhaka hit a motorcycle in Soratoil railway crossing when its rider was passing through the line around 2 am, leaving Shahin dead on the spot and another was injured seriously.

The injured was taken to Tangail General Hospital.

Gharinda Railway Police Outpost assistant sub-inspector (ASI)  Saklain  confirmed the matter.
