Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader urged Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to get prepared for the upcoming general elections without making any excuse, reports BSS.
He made this call while speaking at a press conference at his secretariat office this morning.
Referring to a statement of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir that attacks are being carried out to make the field free so that the oppositions cannot join the polls, Quader said such statement of Fakhrul is nothing but a ridiculous and shameless lie.
Even the BNP leaders are afraid of entering the field, while they sit at home calling a movement, he said, adding “We are repeatedly asking the BNP to join the next elections”.
