A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck the western province of Kermanshah early Monday morning, according to reports from IRNA. The tremor hit the city of Qasr-e Shirin at 4:32 a.m. local time, with a depth of 8 kilometers, as confirmed by the Iranian Seismological Center, Institute of Geophysics at the University of Tehran, reports IRNA.
The earthquake's epicenter was located at a latitude of 34.52° and longitude of 45.45°. Following the initial quake, several aftershocks were recorded.
At this time, there have been no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage.
