At least 47 more Palestinians have been killed in ongoing Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, raising the total death toll to 43,712, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza.
The ministry also reported that approximately 103,258 others have been injured in the sustained attacks.
“The Israeli occupation has committed seven massacres of families in the last 24 hours, resulting in 47 deaths and 182 injuries,” the Health Ministry in Gaza said.
“Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the roads as rescue teams are unable to reach them,” it added.
The Israeli military has continued its relentless offensive on the Gaza Strip since the Hamas attack last year, despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire.
The ongoing bombardment has led to the displacement of nearly the entire population of Gaza, exacerbated by a crippling blockade that has caused severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine.
Mediation efforts led by the US, Egypt, and Qatar to broker a ceasefire in Gaza and negotiate a prisoner swap between Israel and Hamas have stalled due to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's refusal to end the conflict.
Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its actions in Gaza.
