Israel said Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement fired over 100 rockets at Haifa on Tuesday.
The heavy bombardment carried out by Hezbollah in Haifa is the largest since the beginning of the war.
Hezbollah said its military capabilities are intact despite ‘painful blows’ by Israel.
A military statement said an additional 20 rockets were launched from Lebanon at the coastal city following 85 projectiles launched in the first wave.
According to the army, some of the rockets were intercepted by Israel’s air defence systems and some hit certain areas, Times and Israel, Al Jazeera and Al Manar TV reported.
A woman in her 70s was wounded by shrapnel, and damage was caused to several homes.
Medical teams continue to search the areas affected by the barrage.
Meanwhile, the Iraqi Resistance has announced responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks against five Israeli targets in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In a statement, the group said the operations were carried out on October 8th using advanced cruise missiles and drones.
According to the statement, the attacks struck sites in the central and northern regions of occupied Palestine. The Iraqi Resistance said the operations were part of its ongoing efforts to oppose the Israeli occupation and show solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese people.
The group also cited the “heinous massacres” committed by Israeli occupation forces against civilians, including women and children, as a key motivation behind the strikes.
