Elon Musk stated that he will attend an election rally with Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, at the location of a July assassination attempt on Trump, reports Al Jazeera.
He made this announcement on Friday.
Musk announced his support on social media for Trump, who is campaigning for a second term president of US.
Senator JD Vance and Trump’s son, Eric Trump, will also participate in the rally. Musk’s endorsement comes after a shooting on July 13 that resulted in the death of a Trump supporter, Corey Comperatore, and injured several others. Musk had previously expressed hopes for Trump’s swift recovery, stating, “I fully endorse President Trump.” This rally is particularly important, as Pennsylvania is a key state in the upcoming election.
The tech billionaire and former Republican president have become increasingly close in recent months as the November election nears.
