Members of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested two suspected operatives of the banned Islamist outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir in the capital’s Turag area.
Identities of the arrestees could not be known immediately, reports The Daily Sun.
Confirming the matter on Friday morning, DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said details about the arrest would be shared later.
On 4 October, the CTTC arrested the banned outfit’s “media coordinator” Imtiaz Selim in the city’s Bashundhara Residential Area.
